Travel is my passion.  My whole life, I’ve had a curiosity about other people and places.  I love learning about different cultures and having new experiences.  Part of the fun of a trip is the planning that I put into it, learning about a place’s history, its people and its food.  The rest is the experiences that I have when I get there…and sometimes when I’m trying to get there or get home.  I love wandering the streets, observing life as it’s being lived, and documenting it through pictures.  I love visiting museums, festivals, locally owned hotels and restaurants, historic landmarks, parks, and even grocery stores in foreign countries.  It’s all part of the wonderful experience that travel is for me.

Through my travels, I’ve learned a lot, not only about other cultures and countries, but also about myself and my various travel companions.  I will always have a lot to learn, but I hope that this blog will provide some tips to help others make their trips even better and I hope to learn from its readers too.  For those who have the desire to travel but haven’t taken the first step toward making that trip, I hope this is the inspiration to make it happen.  We only live once, so we need to make the most of it and live out our dreams.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain

      • Aww! You are a special family. My family’s 1st guide dog pup came from GDB. I came from Florida — Southeastern Guide Dogs.
